Retraction Cord (non impregnated)

RETRAFLEX is a wire of cotton for the gum retraction in some dental procedures, more common for moldings, and in the necessity to move away the gum tissue to the confection de restorations. RETRAFLEX facilitates the access and the visibility of all the tissues which is operating, besides helping to prevent damages in the tissue gum during the confection of the cavitaries procedures. The action of the product is mechanics, through its interposition between the free gum edge and the dental surface. The humidity of the tissue normal, water or solutions for gum retraction makes with that the tressed wire promotes the retraction of the tissue gum.

Presentation:

1 flask with 250cm of RETRAFLEX cord, available at thicknesses:
0, 00, 000, 1, 2 e 3.

Use instructions:

1. Cut a piece of RETRAFLEX in the desired length or use the individual packing (Uni Dose).
Note: The cord could be absorbed in hemostatic solution to get a bigger retraction.
2. Place the cord around the neck of the tooth, and introduce in the ridge compressing carefully using a spatula without the cutting extremity. (Initiate for the interproximal space where the ridge generally is deeper and then proceeds the complete return from the tooth in the clockwise one).
3. If necessary, to facilitate the removal, slightly humidify the retraction cord with water.
Note: Do not remove the cord until immediately before impression taking.

IDEAL TIME OF PERMANENCE OF THE PRODUCT:
When not using hemostatic solution, the ideal time of permanence of the product for the attainment of the retraction is at least 5 minutes.
When using hemostatic solution follows the time indicated in the manufacture’s instructions.
When moldings, leave the cord located until immediately before the taking of the impression.
