Description:
Light Curing Single Component Adhesive for Enamel and Dentin
MASTER BOND is a high technology bonding system with nanoparticles where primer and adhesive are supplied one-bottle (single-component). It renders an easier handling of the professional. It’s a light curing material and the application is simple which can be done over moist dentin due it’s hydrophilic property.
It promotes a high strength adhesion and protect against micro-leakage.
It’s essential the use of etching agent, 37% Orthophosforic Acid (a.e. Attaque Gel).
Advantages:
-Single Component – time economy;
-Alcohol-based (less evaporation);
-High adhesion resistance and protection against micro infiltration;
-Hydrophilic – higher humidity compatibility;
-Fluoride release – reduction of re-incidence of dental caries;
-Versatility for indications.
Presentaion:
Reposition:
1 flask with 5mL of MASTER BOND.
Use instructions:
The use of rubber dam is highly recommended during all procedures.
I. IN RESTORATIONS WITH COMPOSITES:
1. Apply the 37% Orthophosforic Acid (a.e. Attaque Gel) - 15 seconds for dentin and 30 seconds for enamel;
2. Rinse thoroughly with water during 30 seconds;
3. Dry dentin (no dehydrate) with soft airflow. It is very important a complete dry of the enamel. Dentin must shine some moist glaze;
4. Apply MASTER BOND with a brush (uniformly) on the etched surface;
5. Light cure for 20 seconds;
6. Then, apply another layer of MASTER BOND such as step 4;
7. Light cure for 20 seconds;
8. Apply restorative material (a.e. Master Fill) according to the manufacturer’s instructions;
II. IN CERAMICS, METAL AND COMPOSITE (INLAYS AND COMPLETE CROWN) INDIRECT RESTORATIONS:
1. Apply SILANE on the internal surface of the ceramic parts and stand still for one minute; dry with airflow; apply new layer;
2. Prophylaxis with pumice powder and water the prepared tooth;
3. Apply the 37% Orthophosforic Acid (a.e. Attaque Gel) for 15 seconds;
4. Rinse thoroughly with water during 30 seconds;
5. Dry dentin (no dehydrate) with soft airflow; Dentine must shine some moist glaze;
6. Apply MASTER BOND with a brush (uniformly) on the etched surface;
7. Light cure for 20 seconds;
8. Then, apply another layer of MASTER BOND such as step 6;
9. Light cure for 20 seconds;
10. Use composite cement according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
III. IN THE PREPARE OF METAL-CERAMIC RESTORATIONS:
1. Roughen the exposed metal and ceramic surface with aluminum oxide jet or diamond burs;
2. Bevel the fractured porcelain margins;
3. Rinse and dry;
4. Apply the metal opacifier (a.e. Biocal);
5. Apply the Porcelain Conditioner for 4 minutes, rinse and dry;
6. Apply Silane all over the conditioned area and wait for one minute; apply new layer;
7. Apply MASTER BOND uniformly, all over the conditioned area;
8. Light cure during 20 seconds;
9. Apply new layer of MASTER BOND such as step 7;
10. Light cure during 20 seconds;
11. Complete the repair with composite filling material (a.e. Master Fill) according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
IV. PORCELAIN FACETS CEMENTING:
1. Veneer’s internal surface must come from Prosthesis lab etched with Hydrofluoric acid;
2. Place Silano and wait during one minute; apply new layer;
3. Prophylaxis the dental element with pumice powder and water;
4. Rinse and dry;
5. Etch with 37% phosphoric acid (a.e. Attaque Gel) for 15 seconds;
6. Rinse thoroughly with water during 30 seconds;
7. Dry dentin (no dehydrate) with soft airflow. It is very important a complete dry of the enamel. Dentin must shine some moist glaze;
8. Apply MASTER BOND, immediately and uniformly, all over the conditioned area;
9. Light cure during 20 seconds;
10. Apply new layer of MASTER BOND as indicated in step 8;
11. Light cure during 20 seconds;
12. Mix the cement and place it in the veneers;
13. Place the veneer carefully on the teeth and remove the excess;
14. Light cure firstly in the cervical margin and then the crown and incisal margins. Avoid any contact with any part of the light curer.
