Description:
Pulpal Protection
CALCIUM HYDROXIDE is now one of the most accepted material to induce the formation of the reparative dentine, presenting indispensable properties for materials that act in procedures on dentine.
These properties are:
a) It allows an increase of the calcification of the layer of pre-existing dentine giving better protection conditions to the pulp when submitted to lesions;
b) It avoids that the procedure or the used material causes irritation to the adjacent structures;
It is used in Endodontic as intracanal material acting as a potent antimicrobial by the inhibition of the bacterial enzymes;
It has excellent histocompatibility and it stimulates the host tissue, propitiating the tissular repair (for tissular enzymatic activation, creating mineralization effect).
Advantages:
-Has the propriety of stimulate the sclerosed and reparative dentin;
-It protects the pulp against the thermoelectric stimulus;
-It protects the pulp against the action of toxicant agents of some restoring materials;
-Microorganisms cannot be developed in direct contact with CALCIUM HYDROXIDE;
-The product can act for several days. Curatives with CALCIUM HYDROXIDE made in long time has been showed the reversion of several periapicals alterations;
-It promotes the inhibition of bacterial proliferation;
-It can deprive residual microorganism of its nutritious supply preventing the penetration of the exsudate inside the system of the root canals;
-The highly alkaline pH 12,4 , can propitiate the bacterial death;
-High purity degree guaranteed by best suppliers of materials and continuous evaluation of the product.
-Certification: ISO 9001/2000, ISO 13485/2003, CE 0120
Presentation:
1 flask with 10g of CALCIUM HYDROXIDE P.A.
Use instructions:
I - TO PREPARE A 0,2% CALCIUM HYDROXIDE SOLUTION:
1. In an appropriate recipient, add 100 ml of distilled water to the content of the flask of the product (10g of CALCIUM HYDROXIDE P.A.);
2. Maintain this mixture resting, so that the excess of CALCIUM HYDROXIDE stays deposited in the bottom of the recipient.
NOTE:
- It is not necessary to shake for the use, because the alkaline solution is above the deposition.
- This alkaline solution should be used before pulp protection and restoration are placed, in all cavity types, any deep.
- CALCIUM HYDROXIDE deposited in the bottom of the recipient can be used by professional, because it constitutes an excellent paste for direct protections.
II - IN ENDODONTIC:
1. Mix CALCIUM HYDROXIDE with the vehicle of your choice (distilled water, Camphorated Paramonochlorofenol or others);
2. Fill the canal with the obtained paste.
