Description:
Light Curing Temporary Filling
BIOPLIC is a visible light cured temporary filling material.
BIOPLIC is ready for the use. Should be applied pure in the cavity duly prepared, without need to carry through the acid conditioning or to use dentin primer.
BIOPLIC is a resinous material, composed material for dimethacrylate groups, organic filler, silicium dioxide, sodium fluoride, pigments and cathalysts, after activation for visible light (light cured device), hardens acquiring a consistency elastic, used to seal the cavity temporarly.
When used as provisory material restorative, after light cured it absorbs water of the saliva, it suffers a light expansion doing a negative pressure in the wall of the cavity guaranteeing an efficient seal capacity. Seal the access to the cavity protecting the dentinal canals exposed or the entry of the canal root, blocking the passage of fluid, bacteria and toxins.
When used to temporaly seal the screw on implantation, its action is to form a mechanical barrier isolating the screw of the contact with fluids of the oral cavity.
In the use as matrix of occlusal sculpture its action is plastic and model, due to the characteristic of the product.
It presents fluorine in the composition, promoting prophylactic action against the caries.
(Sodium Fluorid = 0.52% íons fluorine).
The time of exposition of the product in light of the light cured device (exposition single) is 40 seconds.
It is compatible with composit resin restorations, because it does not contain Eugenol.
The recommended time of permanence of the product in the patient as restoring provisory is of up to 30 days. In cases of temporary seal of the screw on implantation, replace every 30 days.
Advantages:
-Easy removal;
-Provides comfort to the patient because doesn’t need bur to removal;
-Work time reduced;
-Do not adhere on the instrument;
-Excellent border sealing;
-Light Curing;
-Aesthetic;
-Compatible with resin restorations as it’s Eugenol free formulation;
-Approximately 50 applications.
Presentation:
2 syringes with 2g of BIOPLIC.
Use instructions:
I - AS TEMPORARY RESTORATIVE:
Application:
1. Clean and dry the cavity;
2. Apply BIOPLIC in one block only into the cavity;
3. Use an appropriate plugger to mold the desirable shape;
4. Light cure for 40 ± 10 seconds;
5. Check the occlusion and wear it when necessary.
Removal:
1. Use instrumental to remove BIOPLIC from the cavity;
2. Proceed permanent treatment;
3. Do not reuse the removed BIOPLIC material.
II – AS TEMPORARY SCREW SEALING ON THE IMPLANT:
Application:
1. Place a layer of BIOPLIC on the screw;
2. Light cure for 40 ± 10 seconds;
3. Check the occlusion with an articulating paper.
Removal:
1. Remove BIOPLIC with an explorer;
2. Proceed suitable treatment;
3. Do not reuse the removed BIOPLIC material.
III – AS MATRIX OCCLUSAL SCULPTURE IN POSTERIOR TEETH RESTORED WITH COMPOSITES:
1. Isolate the occlusal surface with vaseline. Then, apply a thick layer of BIOPLIC on tooth occlusal surface
adjusting BIOPLIC to mold according to the tooth sculpture;
2. Light cure for 40 ± 10 seconds;
3. Remove the obtained matrix carefully;
4. Proceed restoring treatment using composite following manufacturer’s instructions. Fit BIOPLIC occlusal
matrix before light cure the last composite layer and softly press it to mold the surface accordingly;
5. Remove excess material and keep the matrix still;
6. Light cure for 40 ± 10 seconds;
7. Remove the matrix and then light cure the composite according to manufacturer’s instructions.
